Wayman Tisdale - The Fonk Record
First posthumous project, and ninth album overall, by the late jazz musician Wayman Tisdale , who died in May 2009 due to cancer, just 44 years.
Tisdale in his youth was known for having played in the ranks of the NBA Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns, which closed in 1997, his sports career. His greatest triumph was definitely sporting the gold medal at the 1984 Olympics in the ranks of the U.S. basketball team.
The Fonk Record EPK
In addition to his basketball career, he devoted himself increasingly to his love for music, playing bass. In 1995 he recorded his first album Power Forward for Motown which was followed by many other projects until recently Rebound in 2008, the last album to have seen the light before his untimely death.
Now Rendezvous Records has released this new project, on which Tisdale was working before his death. For the occasion, Tisdale had created his alter-ego named funky Tiz , accompanied by his band, The Fonk Planetarians .
11 original tracks created with the help of excellent guest as George Duke, George Clinton and Ali Woodson the Temptations. The Record Fonk shows a new side of Wayman Tisdale, giving us an album with strong colors funk (as can be seen from the title of the disc), which allows us to appreciate his talent again, and his versatility as a musician.

Who Does Goiter Affect?
Soul Train Awards 2010
were held last November 28 in Atlanta, Georgia, the Soul Train Awards , classic annual event that rewards the protagonists of the soul and black music, the brainchild of Don Cornelius, Soul Train creator of the historical program.
The show, presented by actors Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson (surely someone will remember you for participating together in the film Hustle & Flow), opened with a great performance of R. Kelly who performed a medley of some of his classics (from the beautiful Bump N Grind to Your Body's Callin ' through When a Woman's Fed Up and Happy People ) and then his new single When a Woman Loves original version and in an unpublished uptempo remix.
One of the important moments of the show was a tribute to Anita Baker , and in the audience visibly moved. Alternating on stage to pay tribute to Anita with his songs, there were Chrisette Michele, Tamia, Faith Evans , Kem , Rachelle Ferrell, Lalah Hathaway , Goapele, Dionne Farris and El DeBarge ... a number of great artists to pay homage to a legend like Anita. Incredible performance, one more beautiful than the other.

Another clue the time of the evening, which ended the show was the tribute to Ron Isley, lead singer and co-founder of the Isley Brothers ... this time to pay tribute to Mr. Biggs took turns Keyshia Cole , Bilal , Tank , El DeBarge , Eric Benet , Peabo Bryson , Jeffrey Osborne , Freddie Jackson ed infine lo stesso Ron Isley ha eseguito alcuni pezzi con la partecipazione di R. Kelly , Chanté Moore e Cee-Lo Green .

A completare la serata ci sono state esibizioni singole di Erykah Badu (sempre straordinaria), Ne-Yo , Cee Lo , Jazmine Sullivan e Bruno Mars , oltre a diversi siparietti piacevoli e tanti volti noti della scena black in platea.
